For two centuries and more, Birmingham was famed worldwide as the city of a thousand trades and pioneer of the industrial revolution - but in a few short years, the city aims to establish its global reputation as one of the world's leading centres for digital technology. Birmingham is taking the lead in ensuring the benefits of digital technology are available to everyone through our city partnership, Digital Birmingham and our 'Get into Digital' month of activities is just one way we are demonstrating the potential of technology to bring economic and social development for all those that live, work and visit Birmingham.

Get Set to Get into Digital
Technology is around us everywhere we go and with continual advances in digital technology, online gaming, the internet, social networking and mobile phones, going ‘digital’ can all seem very confusing.
We want everyone in Birmingham to use digital technology to its best, know how to get connected and to find the support and advice ensuring no-one is left out on the opportunties it brings. That’s why throughout June, Digital Birmingam are hosting a month long digital extravaganza of free activities, competitions and events so everyone can take a closer look at how digital technologies impact on the way we live, work and play. All the events are themed around being: Green, Healthy, Successful and Involved and cover a mix of activities and offers to attract people of all ages and levels of digital expertise.
